Hartlepool Civic Society is celebrating the 50 years since the Civic Amenity Act 1967

Hartlepool Civic Society is celebrating the 50 years since the Civic Amenity Act 1967 by organising a series of 4 talks with slides on the important buildings in the town – beginning with those in the Headland Conservation Area. The talks are being held at monthly intervals in the Central Library Community Room and will be given by Executive Committee member John Taylor.

The dates are Wednesday 28 June, Wednesday 26 July, Wednesday 30 August and Wednesday 27 September. All commence at 2 pm and are free. Members of the public are most welcome.

Brian Walker, Society Chairman will be leading a GUIDED WALK around the Greatham Conservation Area – ‘STORIES IN BRICK AND STONE’ on Saturday 8 July commencing at 10.30 am. Meeting at the Community Centre on the village green. Refreshments will be available afterwards. All are welcome.
