Help shape our future - trustee elections

We are looking to fill three vacancies on the Civic Voice Board of Trustees. The newly elected trustees will serve on our board from October 2016 - October 2019.  Are you interested or do you know someone who might be?  All applications should be sent to info@civicvoice.org.uk before 27th June!

To help increase the geographical representation on our board, we are particularly looking for trustees who are from areas including the East Midlands, East of England and Greater London, although this does not exclude individuals from elsewhere standing. We would also like to see increase applications from females to help increase gender diversity on the board.

It is expected that all members of the governing body are members and sympathetic to the aims of the civic movement. Trustees will also need to commit time to their induction, attending board meetings, promoting and representing Civic Voice, building relationships with civic societies and developing themselves and the effectiveness of the Board as a team. We estimate that trustees will spend approximately 30 days a year on Civic Voice business. This is a combination of board meetings, sub-committee meetings, reading reports and supporting operational activities.

The Board meets about six times each year and there are a number of other commitments, such as attending the Annual Convention and major networking events. It is an opportunity to really influence the future direction of Civic Voice. Meeting dates can be viewed here. It is expected that you will attend the September board meeting in a "non-voting" capacity prior to taking office in October.

If you are interested in standing for the board for a period starting in October 2016, please review the following information or contact Ian Harvey on info@civicvoice.org.uk to arrange a private conversation.
