Join the IHBC NW at Chester Town Hall on 18th September for a day celebrating the 50th anniversary of the European Architectural Heritage Day.
The day will spend some time looking back at how the world of conservation has evolved over the last 50 years, take a tour around the city and then look forward to what the next 50 years might hold!
You’ll hear from a wealth of industry leaders discussing skills, technology and recent projects, including:
- Tony Barton – Donald Insall Assoc. – A reflection on the last 50 years (specifically referring to Chester)
- Sophie Norton – Turner & Townsend – Heritage Skills
- Jo Harrop – Placed – The role of community in regeneration
- Ian Chalk – Harley Haddow – The role of technology and the climate emergency
- Kossy Nnachetta – Fielden Clegg Bradley Studios – Developing The International Slavery Museum and Maritime Museum
- Gareth Dean – Port Sunlight Trust – Future proofing (specifically looking at Port Sunlight)
The key note speaker is Catherine Dewar – NW Regional Director at Historic England – Focussing on the next 50 years.
