This year's Civic Voice Conference will take place in Liverpool aboard the Daffodil, a former Mersey ferry permanently moored in Canning Dock, and will cover a variety of topics under the broad theme of Regeneration. Confirmed speakers include Professor Sally Stone from Manchester School of Architecture talking on Adaptive Reuse and the Future of the Already Built and Dr Paul Jones of the University of Salford talking on The Role of Historic Assets in Successful Urban Regeneration, plus Danny Marsh from Planit speaking on The Regeneration of Liverpool’s Historic Central Docks and Steve Power of Merseyside Buildings Preservation Trust on the Lower Duke Street Townscape Heritage Initiative and Graham Marshall (Prosocial Place) on
Backin’ Birkenhead: From Grassroots Planning to Community Power.
A lunch of traditional Scouse (or vegetarian ‘blind’ Scouse) will be served and is included in the ticket price.
For early arrivals, Merseyside Civic Society will lead a free walking tour of historic buildings that have been saved by hospitality companies at 15:30 on Thursday 16 April and host an optional group meal that evening at the Royal Albert Dock.

A members meeting took place on Saturday 24 January at 2pm at The Gallery, 70 Cowcross Street, London EC1M 6EJ. The meeting received an update on the strategic review of Civic Voice, noted the appointment of three new trustees and confirmed that we are now operating as a volunteer run body pending the outcome of the review.
A further meeting to update members on progress wil be announced shortly.
These have been postponed so our limited resources can be devoted to the strategic review and one or two key activities. We hope to resume these webinars later in the year. The idea is that these webinars will be:-
