Civic Voice has published details of its forthcoming events programme, confirming that this year’s Civic Voice Conference will take place in Liverpool on Friday 17 April 2026. 9:30am–5:00pm
The conference will be held aboard the Daffodil, a former Mersey ferry permanently moored in Canning Dock, Liverpool (L3 4AN), and will explore a range of topics under the broad theme of Regeneration. Confirmed speakers include Professor Sally Stone of Manchester School of Architecture, who will speak on adaptive reuse and the future of the already built, and Dr Paul Jones of the University of Salford, who will focus on the role of historic assets in successful urban regeneration.
A lunch of traditional Scouse, or a vegetarian ‘blind’ Scouse, is included in the ticket price.
For those arriving the day before, Merseyside Civic Society will lead a pre conference walking tour at 15:30 on Thursday 16 April 2026, highlighting historic buildings saved by hospitality companies. This will be followed by an optional group meal at the Royal Albert Dock, with the cost of dinner payable on the evening. The walking tour is free and open to all members.
Tickets for the conference are £45. Bookings and Zoom links for Civic Voice events are managed via Eventbrite. Civic Voice notes that event timings cannot suit everyone; the programme aims to offer a mix of daytime, lunchtime and evening events, and some sessions may run more than once.
