There was a good attendance at the Civic Voice Conference in Liverpool on Friday 17 April 2026 aboard the Daffodil, a former Mersey ferry. Seven speakers explored a range of topics under the broad theme of Regeneration.
Keynote address was provided by Professor Sally Stone of Manchester School of Architecture, on the future of the already built (pictured on the left).
The morning session covered initiatives in Birkenhead, Bootle and the Liverpool One Masterplan and the afternoon concentrated on heritage in the locality including the historic central docks.
Representatives from Civic Societies around the country attended and asked about a range of issues during the panel discussions.
