Trustees would like to clarify the arrangements for the AGM on 8 November, which is in person in Birmingham.
The first part of the meeting will be an opportunity for members to discuss Civic Voice’s future and consider a number of options which will be set out in a paper to be circulated prior to the meeting.
This is separate from the formal business of the AGM which will follow at 3.15pm. That will solely deal with the statutory business including the annual report, accounts and trustee elections. The AGM is not being asked to make a decision on future operations, but the discussion in the first part of the afternoon will assist in determining what happens next, and that might include an EGM in the first quarter of 2026.
Those members unable to attend the meeting in person are encouraged to provide feedback on the discussion paper which will be circulated prior to the AGM. There will also be a separate online session to discuss options at a date to be advised.
We have been working hard to improve our database, but there may still be a few paid-up members not receiving our new members-only e-news, which is separate from our public Mailchimp news. The first edition was titled CIVIC IMPACT | Members’ Bulletin from Civic Voice | 5 August 2025, and there was a second email about the resignation of our CEO on 20th August. If you are a member, but are not receiving these addressed to you by name, do let us know.
