Robert Osborne, co chair of trustees at Civic Voice, attended the annual reception for Historic England on 8th July. Amongst the speeches were CEO Duncan Wilson, who is standing down in September, Lord Mendoza (chair), and Heritage Minister Baroness Twycross.
“Being able to attend these kinds of events helps to to raise our profile at a national level and is always useful for Civic Voice”, commented Robert. “We can make ministers and civil servants more aware of the value of work done locally by civic societies in making places better together, protecting heritage for the future, and building more cohesive communities.”
