Welcome to our calendar of forthcoming events. We use EventBrite to manage bookings and Zoom links.
We welcome helpful feedback, but event timings cannot suit everyone. We try to do a mix of daytime, lunchtime and evening events to cater for different work and family situations, and we're experimenting with what works. Some events may run more than once.
This year's Civic Voice Conference will take place in Liverpool aboard the Daffodil, a former Mersey ferry permanently moored in Canning Dock, and will cover a variety of topics under the broad theme of Regeneration. Confirmed speakers include Professor Sally Stone from Manchester School of Architecture talking on Adaptive Reuse and the Future of the Already Built and Dr Paul Jones of the University of Salford talking on The Role of Historic Assets in Successful Urban Regeneration, plus Danny Marsh from Planit speaking on The Regeneration of Liverpool’s Historic Central Docks and Steve Power of Merseyside Buildings Preservation Trust on the Lower Duke Street Townscape Heritage Initiative
A lunch of traditional Scouse (or vegetarian ‘blind’ Scouse) will be served and is included in the ticket price.
For early arrivals, Merseyside Civic Society will lead a free walking tour of historic buildings that have been saved by hospitality companies at 15:30 on Thursday 16 April and host an optional group meal that evening at the Royal Albert Dock.
